Field Problems
TM is a self-syndicated column by authors and
military spouses, Tara Crooks & Starlett “Star” Henderson.
Having made its debut in June 2006, Field
Problems TM
is a question and answer column geared toward empowering Army,
National Guard, and Reserve spouses and families by providing real
answers to common issues.
Crooks’ & Henderson’s desire to help military families by catering to
individual needs, offering advice, and providing real-life, researched
solutions to the issues many families face in today’s military (aka “Field
Problems“), is a genuine effort to change the lives of
our warriors!
Solving the problems of Army families where it
matters most...in the field.
We will deliver on-site workshops to Army posts and Guard/Reserve
units world-wide. Workshops will be geared toward informing families
on how to capitalize on the DA and DOD services already provided for
them--empowering individuals to make the right choices in their
relationship, career, or personal lives and encouraging an outlet for
relief and creativity in today’s hectic, over-stressed military
lifestyle.
Specifically, you present us with your
Field Problem™ and then, we build and execute the Field
Exercise™ to combat that problem. Solutions come about as a
result of a career’s worth of experience with military moves,
deployments, and marriages to the military.
We, Crooks and Henderson,
believe that, while the road is tough, it is traversable, and the
journey of a military family has inherent value measured in enriched
life experiences, pride, and sense of honor. All our military families
need are battle buddies willing to mentor and empower them for the
duration of their enlistment. We will speak to your FRG, OSC, ESC, or
Army community at-large.
Some
examples include:
Field Exercise™: Care Package Ideas
Field Exercise™: Crafting Stronger Marriages
Field Exercise™: Building A Successful Home Business In The
Military
FieldExercises™ will always be
about getting service members and families together to see the faces
of individuals also facing military culture shock and localized
challenges and to allow networking for long-lasting, satisfying
relationships on their post or in their community.
Pitch us your idea, obtain pricing information,
and request availability by contacting
us.
In 2008
Field Exercise™ will be presented at four locations throughout the United States.
Watch our website for dates, locations, and registration information.
If your
business is interested in contributing to our
Field Exercise™ in the form of vendor sponsorship and/or
prizes please contact us using the information above. This is a great
opportunity to put your business in front of military families that
need you the most!
Feedback from Field
Exercise: Priceless Packages
Thank you for the awesome
"field exercise" event. It was much more than I expected and I
feel honored to know you. I wish you both the very best!

I attended the "Priceless
Packages" workshop held at Fort Stewart on May 15. I cannot
thank you enough for pulling that together and sharing it with
our community! I appreciate the fabulous goody/gift bags you
provided us. I also enjoy the list of resources because I
believe that knowledge is power. Your generosity will never be
forgotten!

Army Wife, Fort Stewart
I attended the Priceless
Packages event [May 15th], and it was AWESOME! The both of
you did a super job in presenting the workshop, and I
just wanted to send a quick e-mail to you to express my
gratitude. Many thanks!
Kelli, Army Wife,
Fort Stewart
Congratulations on a
wonderfully executed (and well attended) event. You both did
a great job and left a very indelible mark on these
ladies .... God bless you both for the great work you do for
our Heroes @ Home!

Being there as a supporter and a
wife of a deployed soldier was great I met a lot of wives like
me and I was able to pamper them for an evening because the
evening was all about them. We also learned things that are
useful and we learned that we are not alone! Andrea, Vendor, The Body Shop At Home
The Field
Exercise at Ft Bragg on 17 Oct was the best spouse support
event we have seen in over 35+ years of active duty/retirement
including multiple assignments and locations. The gift
packages from USAA and local vendors were superb and the
spouses had a great time! Can’t wait for the next one! Thank
you Tara and Star!
Dale & Deb, Vendor, Military Avenue
Tara and Star’s passion for helping
military spouses is clearly evident by the tangible energy and
personality they put into their Field Exercises. It was on
display for all to see at Ft Bragg October 17 when they
transformed the O’club ballroom into a place of refuge and
refreshment for more than 120 deployment-weary military
spouses. Once again, they demonstrated that taking care of the
little things makes the biggest impact.
