Field Problems
TM is a self-syndicated column by authors and
military spouses, Tara Crooks & Starlett “Star” Henderson.
Having made its debut in June 2006, Field
Problems TM
is a question and answer column geared toward empowering Army,
National Guard, and Reserve spouses and families by providing real
answers to common issues.
Crooks’ & Henderson’s desire to help military families by catering to
individual needs, offering advice, and providing real-life, researched
solutions to the issues many families face in today’s military (aka “Field
Problems“), is a genuine effort to change the lives of
our warriors!
Solving the problems of Army families where it
matters most...in the field.
Site owners and visitors to the webpage will see first names,
locations, branches of service, and years affiliated at the close of
each Field Problem™. As well, they will be reading your
question that will contain any personal information that you disclose.
(Please keep in mind that the intent of Field Problems™
is international syndication.)
Site owners will ask personal questions via email, chat devices, or
telephone to better serve you. Personal information such as (but not
only) married status, size of family, e-mail address could be
revealed, but will only shared amongst the site owners, Crooks and
Henderson.
On FP Live!™:
Hosts will be able to view your phone number to include area code, but
the hosts will only address you by area code, like “Area 912, you’re
on the air.” You may introduce yourself as you see fit, but you are
asked to be aware that Operational Security or "OPSEC" is the most
important key to the safety of your service member and yourself.
Operational Security requirements are the rules that govern what we
say about the troops and our personal information. OPSEC requires the
active participation of every single service member regardless of his
or her rank or job and their spouses and family members. What seems
innocent or insignificant can in fact be just the information the
enemy needs, so while we want you to ask us your questions try to
leave them as general as you can.
On FP Chat:
You will only be invited/accepted into a chat room with Crooks or
Henderson or both. All your personal information will be treated with
confidentiality. We will not breach that confidentiality, but in all
cases where one delves into a discussion of hurting themselves or
others, they will be advised to seek the help of a professional in
their area and asked to agree to a safety plan. Referrals will be
given for further evaluation.
Crooks and Henderson reserve the right to read on the air and/or
publish on its website, or in any other form, the e-mails and letters
that we receive. We may edit them for clarity or brevity and identify
authors by first name, location, branch of service, and years
affiliated with that branch. By sending us a letter or e-mail, you
agree to these terms. All recordings or electronically transmitted
information will be become the property of Crooks and Henderson and
may be used for further training or evaluative purposes.
